Karaoke for Cancer

On Saturday, October 3rd, Jo's Hope sponsored our first Karaoke for Cancer event. Guests enjoyed dinner, dancing and had a GREAT time singing their favorite songs at the Madison Elks Club in Madison, NJ. There was also a tricky tray with some FANTASTIC prizes!

     Jo's Hope Launch Party

The Jo's Hope Launch Party was held on Saturday, July 18th at the Historic Fordville Mansion in Whippany, NJ. The event was sponsored by Fordville Mansion owner, Deborah Kunz and Velocity Wine Group President, Steven Paul Crystal.

Guests enjoyed red and white wines, assorted cheeses, finger sandwiches and other light fare.

The Jo's Hope Board of Directors, and several volunteers, spoke to the guests about volunteering opportunities, fundraising and donating. Guests were also given the opportunity to view the Jo's Hope website.

Guest Speaker, Charron Walker, CEO of Young Survivors Network (youngsurvivorsnetwork.org), gave a moving speech about her survival and the importance of being "proactive and not reactive" in regards to breast health.

     Making Strides

On Sunday, Oct. 18th, Team Jo's Hope walked in the ACS Making Strides walk in Parsippany, NJ. It rained and there were even a few snow flurries, but our team walked the walk. There were over 5,000 participants at this event.
